Rental Duration
Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis.
Minimum rental period is three consecutive days.
Depot Hours
Daily from 08.00 to 17.00 hours, 365 days per year.
Change of Vehicle
Budget can guarantee only a vehicle category,
not a specific vehicle make within the group.
Road Tolls
Are the sole responsibility of the hirer.
Insurance
Motor insurance is included in the rates.
This insurance is subject to an insurance excess.
Budget Protection Plan
An additional daily payment of NZD$24.75 per day
reduces insurance excess of NZD$2100 + GST to
NZD$250 + GST.
Personal accident insurance and
personal effects cover is also included in this
package. This additional payment is made to
Budget Rent a Car at the commencement of hire.
Bond
All rentals require a NZD$150 security bond at the
commencement of hire.
Airport/Ferry Fee
A charge of NZD$22 + GST will apply to hires
commencing at all airport locations and ferry
terminals. To be paid at commencement of hire
and applies only once per rental.
Multi Island Rentals
A minimum of 3 consecutive days per island is
required for Multi-Island rentals.
